Shipping and Returns Policies 

 

Warranty:

Philadelphia Custom Block and Board Corp offers a 12 month warranty (manufactures defect only)* on all of our products, starting the date the order is shipped. Because of the nature of our product and it’s use, we cannot accept returns on any boards that have been used (unless determined to be a manufacturers defect and under 12 months from date order was shipped). Philadelphia Custom Block and Board Corp reserves the right to inspect any returns for neglect, improper care, or usage, to determine if a refund can be issued. All warranty returns are subject to a 10% reprocessing fee. Shipping & handling charges will only be refunded for warranty returns that are deemed a manufacturers defect.*

Return Policy:

Due to the intended use for these boards (food prep), we can only offer a 5 day return policy on boards that HAVE NOT BEEN USED. We do not offer returns for custom made orders or clearance items.**  Boards that have been used will not qualify for returns or exchanges. If you wish to return an item (and it has not been used), please contact us immediately. Please, include the name on the order, the order number, order date, and reason for return. We will email you back with instructions for how to complete the return. Items sent in without prior instruction, as well as refused shipments, may not be eligible for a refund. Please note: you must keep all original packaging and boxes for damage claims to be processed. When you've completed the return, you will be credited with the purchase amount, minus a 10% restocking fee and the original shipping cost.*** No refunds will be given for items that are returned damaged due to improper packaging back to our facility. In the event of a return or a refused shipment, customers are responsible for return shipping fees.

Cancellations:

Many of our products ship out on the same day an order is placed. For that reason, we require a cancellation request before 3 pm (EST) on the day you place your order. We regret that we cannot accommodate cancellation requests that come in after 3 pm (EST) on the day you place your order.

Damaged Items:

It is important to inspect all packages for potential damage at the time of delivery. While it is normal for cartons to show some wear, if it appears that damage to the item has occurred, write “PRODUCT DAMAGED" on the sheet that the freight company asks you to sign, do not accept the delivery and contact us right away. If it is clear that the item is in fact damaged, we will make arrangements to have a replacement sent out to you and have the original item returned. If it is determined that the item is not in fact damaged, the item will be re-delivered to you.

When accepting a freight shipment, it is very important that you note any damage at the time of delivery in order to facilitate the damage claim process. When damage is noted only after the item has been accepted for delivery free and clear, you may need to file a "Concealed Damage Claim" with the freight company. If, after accepting delivery, you discover concealed damage that was not apparent at the time the item was delivered, please contact us immediately so we can assist you. You will need to keep all the original boxes and packaging until your damage claim is resolved. If you do not keep all the original boxes and packaging, your damage claim cannot be processed. All damage claims must be reported no later than 7 days after the item is received. We will not be able to accommodate damage claims that come in more than 7 days after delivery.

If you receive a damaged item from a UPS or Fedex shipment, simply notify us within 7 days of receiving your shipment. Also note that your damaged item must be returned the way it was received. If you do not save the original packaging and boxes, we will not be able to facilitate your damage claim.

* Manufacturers defect (as per Philadelphia Custom Block and Board Corp) includes, but not limited to, structural damage, exposed glue seams, broken wood, or cracks. All damage will be inspected upon arrival back to our facility where we reserve the right to determine liability.

** Special order and made-to-order items cannot be returned or exchanged, unless otherwise stated by Philadelphia Custom Block and Board Corp.

*** Customers are responsible for the original shipment charge in the event of a return. The restocking fee and original shipment charge also apply to refused or declined shipments.
